Band information

Etelantulet is a progressive band along Dream Theater lines from Brisbane. Couper, Lazar and McLean formed the band in 2000, completing a live line-up by early 2001. O’Neill left to be replaced by Lanes and the group began work on a recording. Known until this time as Aurora, when a name clash with the Danish death metal band was discovered, they adopted Etelantulet, a Finnish word that means the same thing.

After the release of the album in early 2003, Etelantulet went on hiatus when Couper and then Lazar headed overseas. By mid-2004 they reformed the band with van Lieshout, Brown and Saunders, who had done some live work with the band previously.
