Function Cease is a band from the Sunshine Coast playing aggressive modern thrash metal. The band supported Nile and Decapitated during 2007. Shortly after a support with Amon Amarth in 2008, vocalist Ryan Barrett left the group. He was replaced by Rob Bartnik in May 2008, with Joe Fallon also joining the band at the same time. Rob Bartnik and Rayle Bright left the band after that and Function Cease ended. Nelson Barnes went on to form The Schoenberg Automaton.
