Band Information
Modus Vivendi was a progressive metal band from Perth formed around Bonney, Chen and Ongarezos in 1998. The line-up was completed in late 2000 and quickly became one of the most popular bands on the Perth melodic metal scene. In mid-2001 the band was to support Planet X but their slot was withdrawn at the eleventh hour.
A year or so later the band went on an extended break to write and record, during which time their sound changed and Ongarezos left the band. Bonney's cousin Alitia Atkins was brought in to record some tracks and the colloboration worked so well she was invited to join permanently. In late 2002, Modus Vivendi became ShadowPlay and moved to Manchester, England in February 2003.
