Band information

Vahrzaw was originally formed under the name Necromancy in 1992 when the members were still in high school. Initially a death metal band, when Forster and Rowland left, the remaining members began to explore a more melodic black metal avenue. After van Poppell (who is legally blind) joined in 1994 the band changed its name to Midgard, then to Utgard-Loki before settling finally on Vahrzaw in 1995. After a second demo in 1996, the band came to an end in 1997. The band reformed in 2005 and released an EP the next year, followed by a split with The Murphy Boys. The "Acquiesce" EP was released in mid-2007.
