Cremator formed in 1986 around John Cook and Bevan Wilkerson; Russell Hopkinson came from Melbourne hardcore band Vicious Circle. The band's mini-album was released on Waterfront Records in 1988. Cook was replaced by Kevin McCrear soon after and Cremator had split by the end of 1989.
