Skintilla is an Adelaide band whose first release featured some heavy power metal with something of a groove. Skintilla appeared at Metal for the Brain in 2005. In late 2007 Jason Beveridge and Peter Stewart left the band. Benyk returned and Jaryd Dorey joined on drums in early 2008. Later that year Skintilla supported Whitesnake and completed their album King of Kings, released in 2009. Benyk left Skintilla once more after the album was released and Joel Parkinson joined in his place but in mid-2010, the band split up.
