Band Information
Skintilla is an Adelaide band whose first release featured some heavy power metal with something of a groove. The second album has a heavier, modern thrash vibe that draws from the likes of Pantera and Machine Head. After the release of Kranker the band changed dramatically until only Burgess was left with Skintilla again heading into a power/traditional metal direction, albeit more convincingly than on the first EP. Benyk is now with Diatribe.
In recent times Skintilla has developed an increased profile and appeared at the Canberra Metal for the Brain in 2005.
