The Red Shore formed in Geelong in 2004 as a technical deathcore band. After developing a solid local following, the band released the "Salvaging What's Left" EP in 2006. Early the following year they were picked up for international distribution by Siege of Amida Records. Original drummer Richie left around the same time and was replaced in July 2007 by former Ocularis Inferum member Jake Green.
