Band Information
Mhorgl is a raw melodic black metal band from Perth. Originally conceived in 2004 as an extremely raw, monotone and violent black metal project Mhorgl has since become more epic in nature and incorporates a wider range of musical influences while retaining their original aggression.
Mhorgl comprises of a number of musicians who have been involved in black metal projects in Perth over many years including Campbell and Thorpe from Tyrant and Moretta from Avantgard. The band released its first demo, "The Shadow of Morgoth" in May 2006.
June 2007 saw the release of Mhorgl's first full length recording, The Sacrificial Flame. After this, Louis Rando (The Furor, Pathogen, Nervecell and others) joined on drums and Thorpe moved to guitar.
