Stitches was a band from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland who formed in late 1999. The band was formed by Jeff Horder (Drums), John Keen (Guitar, vocals) and Beau Deeley (Bass, Guitar). The band developed a sound described as sci-fi/trance/chunk (or Sci-fi shred rock).

Guitarist Beau Deeley used up to 80 gauge strings on his guitar, effectively playing in the same register as the lower strings on 8-string guitars. Stitches' music included technical proficiency and the use of effects and samples. Stitches released their EP 'Skin Crawl Peak' in early 2001. Mid 2001 saw the inclusion of Whitfield on bass. The last perfromance for this line-up took place in December 2001.

This line-up saw Stitches take a heavier direction than the previous line-up, playing a style described as psychedelic, sci-fi, industrial death metal. The band recorded a demo in early 2008.
