Colossus, now more commonly stylised as COLOSSVS, is an extreme metal band that formed in Melbourne in late 2010. Ed Redclift (ex-Carpathian) was the original vocalist but he was soon replaced by Christopher Tew. Following a busy 2013 that included touring with Palm and Asecretdeath, Colossus toured SE Asia in early 2014, after which Tew was replaced by The Racket announcer Lochlan Watt (ex-Nuclear Summer). Their first album appeared almost immediately and the band played tours with Psycroptic and Birds in a Row and at Hammersonic in Indonesia in early 2015. 2015 was a busy year with a string of tours including with Suffocation and Decapitated, Psycroptic and The Black Dahlia Murder and King Parrot and High Tension. Early in 2016 Colossus played shows during which they performed Unholy in its entirety and in April Watt was hired as Thy Art is Murder's touring vocalist. At the point Tew returned to the band and a few further shows were played including Brewtality in Sydney and Melbourne in 2016. Watt rejoined Colossus at the end of 2016 but the band has done no more.
R U N is a post-black metal project put together by Lochlan Watt (Colossus) and Mike Delandes of High Tension. Their initial release was a series of music clips released to YouTube, after which the tracks were made available as an EP. During 2021 a live band was put together featuring bassist Lewis Noke-Edwards (Colossus), former Clowns guitarist Will Robinson and Joel Taylor from Join the Amish. R U N was slated to make their debut at the 2021 Blacken Open Air festival, but it was cancelled by COVID restrictions. The band's first live shows were in early 2022 with Antagonist AD and also appeared at Dark Mofo. After this the band cancelled all upcoming commitments including the Blacken Open Air festival as Watt's brain cancer seemed to have returned; however, it was soon revealed that was not the case and R U N played shows in October with Frontierer. After these shows, R U N changed its line up with Watt and Noke-Edwards remaining; Noke-Edwards switched to guitar and Benn Gaylor, Aaron Parker Richards and Adrian Horsman all joined the band. The name was (slightly) changed to RUN.

During early 2024 the band toured with The Amity Affliction and the single Spring features vocals from Joel Birch.

Band Information
