The first album appeared shortly after he relocated to Norway and both it and the follow-up feature symphonic black metal with his then Dimmu Borgir bandmate Nagash on lead vocals. After he was fired from Dimmu Borgir, Astennu returned to Australia and has since worked as a producer and sound engineer and been a member of various Sydney bands including Infernal Method and Stronger Than Hate. A third album was released in 2002 but nothing has surfaced since.
