Defamer hails from Brisbane and plays Florida-style death metal. The band features ex-[[Malaclypse]] drummer Geeks and Alcock from [[Western Decay]]. A self-titled demo appeared featuring ex-member Lingard, who is now a member of [['Neath]], before recording their album in late 2008, following opening slots for bands like '''Children of Bodom''' and '''Carcass'''. ''Chasm'' was released early the next year and since then the band has opened for '''Krisiun''' and done some touring interstate. Defamer appeared at the [[Screamfest]] show in Sydney on New Year's Day, 2010. In May the band toured with New Zealand band '''Human'''. In 2012 Krist Sadler left to later join [[Dead River Runs Dry]] and Mitch Rogers switched from guitar to bass.

Band information

Defamer hails from Brisbane and plays Florida-style death metal. The band features ex-Malaclypse drummer Geeks and Alcock from Western Decay. A self-titled demo appeared featuring ex-member Lingard, who is now a member of 'Neath, before recording their album in late 2008, following opening slots for bands like Children of Bodom and Carcass. Chasm was released early the next year and since then the band has opened for Krisiun and done some touring interstate. Defamer appeared at the Screamfest show in Sydney on New Year's Day, 2010. In May the band toured with New Zealand band Human. In 2012 Krist Sadler left to later join Dead River Runs Dry and Mitch Rogers switched from guitar to bass.
