Old school thrash metal in the Kreator vein was the forte of Sydney's Grungeon, stalwarts of the scene for the first half of the 1990s. The band was formed from the ashes of several other bands including Campbell's White Trash. Grungeon featured at Metal for the Brain in 1992 and 1993 and appeared on a handful of compilations before ultimately splitting up in 1997. Former Suiciety founding member Dalton was replaced by Anthony Hoffman in 1994 and Sullivan took over vocal duties. He was in turn replaced by Dave Colless from Apostasy. Campbell and Hoffman reformed Mortal Sin in 1996 and Morelli joined Nazxul around the same time; thus Grungeon came to an end.
