Band information

Sydney's Headmess existed on the fringes of the scene for some years before beginnning to enjoy a higher presence due to some high-profile shows including an opening slot on the World War Three tour and a Damaged support.

Headmess formed in 1996 and originally played speedy death metal but over time their style changed toward a more groove-laden, riff-heavy modern metal sound like Cryogenic. Their long-awaited debut EP was issued in mid-2001, yet despite a few appearances at events such as Bloodlust, Headmess disappeared.

This band should not be confused with a Melbourne rock band of the same name. Simon is now a member of Degeneracy.
