Recoil v.o.r. formed in 2002 (as Recoil) and play modern aggressive metal with a heavy groove. The band has retained the same line-up throughout its career and recorded a number of demos that attracted some attention; in early 2009 they played shows with LA hip-hop band Kottonmouth Kings and also supported Static-X in November. The album Will to Sin was released by New Justice in early 2010 and a few months later the band changed its name to Recoil v.o.r. after a string of regional and interstate dates. In 2011, their predilection for seemingly incongruous support dates continued when they opened for (HED)p.e.. The band also played a show with The Haunted in May before going on a small-scale national tour of their own. In early 2012 they again opened for (HED)p.e and in April 2013 Recoil v.o.r. toured nationally with Otep and Darkc3ll before releasing their second album in August.
