Band information
Red Bee is an tech-metal trio from the Blue Mountains, formed around 2004. The band's initial style crossed broadly metallic influences with those of the likes of TOOL, Helmet and Mammal but they later evolved into a progressive technical metal band with elements of mathcore and djent. Red Bee began recording a full-length album in late 2010 among constant gigging in and around Sydney, including an appearance at the 2011 Slaughterfest. During 2012 they embarked on a national tour with Katabasis and then played the Sydney Whiplash Festival before releasing Ictus in late October. In August 2013 they supported Flyleaf on a national tour. After an Australia-wide headlining jaunt of their own, Red Bee played a special showcase set at the Sydney leg of the Soundwave Festival in 2014.
