Band information
Tourettes is an eclectic and challenging Sydney unit creating an amphetamine, apoplectic hybrid of metal, industrial noise, punk and other extreme elements.
Between 2001 and 2003 the band built up a solid reputation as an aggressive live act and in late 2004 the band went to Canada to tour and record. While there, Manning, Madden and Empson contributed backing vocals to Strapping Young Lad’s Alien album. In 2006 the band was picked up by German label Armageddon for international release and appeared at the Wacken Open Air festival. After this Tourettes returned to Australia and toured in support of the Sick Sense album. Following that, the group began recording another album in LA and European touring will keep them busy throughout 2007.
Outside of Australia, the band was known as Tourettes Syndrome for a while but seems to have now decided to use the name Tourettes everywhere.
