Band information
A thrash band with a tumultuous history, Vivisector originally formed in 1999. A short time later the group became known as Dominion and then split for a while until Gouder and Freeman began playing together some months later. In 2002 the band resolved and recorded a demo under the name Disembowelling River Phoenix before changing back to Vivisector and fragmenting again. By 2004 after several more failed line-ups, the group solidified long enough as Gouder, Williams, Strachan and Freeman to record a two-track single. Since then the personnel shuffles have continued.
