Band Information
From the Central Coast of NSW, Rather Be Dead is a death/metalcore band that formed in 2003. With a sound that combines technical death with the likes of Converge, Ion Dissonance, the band has been a prominent member of the live metal scene since first hitting stages in late 2004. A demo was released in 2005 and early the next year was followed by an EP and shows including an appearance at Metalstock. During 2007 founding members Klerk and Harwood were replaced by Phil Grind and Mickey G. Klerk joined Black Asylum in January 2008.
Doherty left RBD in May 2008 and Scheider followed in January 2009. In May 2009, the band changed its name to Tumors.
