Band information
Templestowe was a melodic progressive death metal band from Canberra. In mid 2007 the band released a self-titled demo that received widespread acclaim.
In late 2008 the band recruited mixer/engineer Scott Carter to record their debut album Cimmerian. Set for release in October 2009 the album features additional engineering by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Job for a Cowboy) and mastering by Goran Finnberg (Opeth, In Flames, Soilwork).
After a slew of hi-profile supports in early 2009 including Whitechapel, Psycroptic and The Berzerker vocalist Andy Annand departed the band. His replacement was Jon Hocking (formerly of US grind band Vein of Lunacy).
Cimmerian was released in October 2009. The band decided to split up after a final show on February 26, 2010.
