Band Information

Killengod played feverishly blasting total death mayhem with a feel and execution similar to Deicide but with a far more obvious thrash/black influence. Killengod was formed by Nyp after the dissolution of Obfuscate Mass and roared out of the Gold Coast as a three piece with the under-produced but nonetheless excellent Transcendual Consciousness (with Drexler Roberts on bass) on a musical mission of vehement anti-religious hatred which was continued mercilessly on the even more superior follow-up album.

Killengod had the potential to be a name on everyone's lips, with a brutal and unrelenting live performance. Killengod supported Fear Factory on their aborted 1996 tour and also opened for Cradle of Filth. Dao left the band at the end of 1998 and Maynard left shortly afterward. As a result Killengod abruptly came to an end.
