Band information
Defamer hails from Brisbane and plays Florida-style death metal. The band features ex-Malaclypse drummer Geeks and Alcock from Western Decay. A self-titled demo appeared featuring ex-member Lingard, who is now a member of 'Neath, before recording their album in late 2008, following opening slots for bands like Children of Bodom and Carcass. Chasm was released early the next year and since then the band has opened for Krisiun and done some touring interstate. Defamer appeared at the Screamfest show in Sydney on New Year's Day, 2010. In May the band is touring with New Zealand band Human.
