During 2008, Presland also began playing drums for [[The Ocularis Infernum]] and Benjamin Baret replaced King in May. The band conducted a national tour in April and May 2009. They were added to the line-up of the [[Against the Grain (festival)|Against the Grain Festival]] in early September but were forced by withdraw when French citizen Baret faced visa problems and couldn't enter the country. Ne Obliviscaris began recording an album in late October 2009. Benjamin Baret's visa was finally granted in October 2011 and Nelson Barnes from [[The Schoenberg Automation]] joined on drums in March 2012, replacing Presland. The band's long-delayed album ''Portal Of I'' was issued shortly after and the band toured the east coast to support the release. Presland rejoined Ne Obliviscaris in August 2012. Early the next year, the band was signed by Season of Mist and one of the album's tracks was included in a course at the NSW Conservatorium of Music.
