Miazma is an extreme metal band from Alice Springs who are well known in the NT for their stage performance. They blend a variety of genres, predominantly thrash, death and black metal. The band formed as a four piece in 2008, soon adding specialist vocalist Shaun Howell. In 2009 they won the Territory's leg of a global band contest and played Terrorfest in Darwin. In 2011, Miazma appeared at [[Bastardfest]]; the band is currently recording.
