Band information

Red Bee is an tech-metal trio from the Blue Mountains, formed around 2004. The band's initial style crossed broadly metallic influences but they later evolved into a progressive technical metal band. Red Bee began recording a full-length album in late 2010 and appeared at the 2011 Slaughterfest. During 2012 they embarked on a national tour with Katabasis and then played the Sydney Whiplash Festival before releasing Ictus in late October. In August 2013 they supported Flyleaf on a national tour. After an Australia-wide headlining jaunt of their own, Red Bee played at the Sydney leg of the Soundwave Festival in 2014 and in mid-2014 toured with Sydonia and Helm. The double A-single Chokehold/I, Alone was released in 2015.

In 2018 Red Bee released the Silent Enemy album and over the next year played shows with bands like Circles and The Omnific and opened for both Pop Evil and The Tea Party in Sydney. Most of their live shows over 2020 were at regional festivals as they worked on further material.
