Band Information

Christian death metal band from Townsville with beginnings in 1990 around the Bennetts. Numerous line-up changes were manifest before it all settled down with Speerstra on drums and Smith on vocals in 1995. Late 80's inspired mega-heavy thrash with utterly gutteral, garbled vocals featured on the first album, although the band's style has since matured. Metanoia encompasses various extreme styles within their musical framework and their albums are strong performers in the Christian metal market. Northey replaced Speerstra after the first album, Michael Politanski was second guitarist briefly and Simon Pankhurst later replaced Smith, who went on to form Sheep.
