Band information
Taking their name from the Stephen King novel The Stand, Captain Trips was a Melbourne based speed metal band which formed from the ashes of a previous group called Tahkisis.
Captain Trips' music is likened to Forbidden, Testament, Early Metallica, Maiden, Exodus etc... with a progressive slant that gives them an original edge.
The band has thankfully re-united and are expected to be performing shows in 2008 as support for some undisclosed American touring bands.
Expect new material in a similar but more intense style.
