Band information
Black Reign was originally formed by Michael Demov in Wollongong in 1993. The band recorded an EP and had drifted apart by 1998.
In 2001, Dimov laid down some tracks for the first release, ritualistic and archetypal metal with a thrash influence. Drumming was provided by Borc Todorovski.
Dimov put a full line-up together for shows shortly afterward. This line-up featured bass player Jose-Manuel Azevedo and drummer Warren Bunting. Bunting was then replaced by Tim Yatras. Black Reign split up sometime after the second release but by late 2003 Dimov had reformed the band once again with Lord Stephen plus bassist Dirty Dave and Skar Velis on guitar. By mid-2004, Azevedo was back in the band and Blaze Buccanan was on guitar; however by late the next year Black Reign was seeking a new guitarist and drummer.
Demov later joined Dark Order.
