Abysm is a Darwin black metal band, with elements of thrash, death and doom. Various members also perform with doom act Kingdom of Decay. Guitarist Nico and singer Adam are also members of Shrapnel, and Nico is the publisher of now-defunct fanzine Northern Shadows.
