Band information
Sulkus was a relatively early entry in the Sydney death metal stakes, existing in one form or another from 1993. The addition of ex-Misery and Manticore singer Goulding in early 1996 gave the band some spark and turned them into a crushing live band featuring wildly flamboyant guitar acrobatics from Matesa, who had briefly been a member of Mortal Sin in 1990. Sulkus had an album recorded in early 1998 but canned it after a dispute over distribution.
Following a drastic line-up change in late 1999 when Matesa and then Richard left and which saw members of Shattered Mass and Ebolie join the fold, their presence waned somewhat and although the new line-up's sound leaned towards nu-metal Sulkus had all but split up by the end of that year and by early 2000 was no more.
