Band information
Damnzal is a Melbourne band that formed in 2003. Pennisi and Payne were from Ruby Doomsday, Paxton from Firesign, and Condell from Velvet Hammer. Danson was formerly with Cyclone Tracy. As to be expected with Condell involved, this is hard, driving metal with a punk feel. The band supported Pungent Stench in March 2005 and Paxton then left the band in August. During 2007 the band linked up with international distribution and began work on a follow-up release however, in early 2008 Pennisi, Danson and Payne all left the band. Condell has plans to continue Damnzal as a solo project.
