Band information
Perth band Syzygy was a band playing instrumental progressive metal. Originally formed as a three piece of Piteilli, Separovic and Mestrovich in 1995, by the middle of the following year a full line-up had fallen into place and Syzygy began to play live. Judge left the band early in 1998 but the band continued to work on a CD release entitled Prominence for future release, with bass parts being played on keyboards. This format existed until well into 2001 when Anthony Wong joined the band as permanent bassist. The group split up in 2005 but played a reunion show in 2008.
Pitrelli was also a member of Black Steel.
