Band information
Miazma is an extreme metal band from Alice Springs who are well known in the NT for their stage performance. They play death metal with thrash and black metal influences. The band formed as a four piece in 2008, soon adding guitarist Shaun Howell, also in Uncreation. In 2009 they won the Territory's leg of a global band contest and played TerrorFest in Darwin, and in 2011, Miazma appeared at Bastardfest. The band released their debut album "Bacteria of this Earth" in 2013 and toured Australia and Indonesia, and won the "Heavy" category of the NT Song of the Year Awards in 2014 with their song "Pestilence".
