Band information
Cremator was a parody thrash metal band from Perth from the late 1980s. Cremator formed in 1986 around John Cook and Bevan Wilkerson; experienced drummer Russell Hopkinson came from Melbourne hardcore band Vicious Circle and played and recorded with Cremator while also being a member of The Bamboos and the Kryptonics. The band's mini-album was released on Waterfront Records in 1988. Cook was replaced by Kevin McCrear soon after and Cremator had split by the end of 1989. Hopkinson later formed Nursery Crimes and was briefly a member of Killing Time before joining You Am I in 1993. Cook died in a car accident in February 1989.
