Band information

Alpha Wolf formed as a deathcore band in Burnie, Tasmania in 2013 as Sabian Lynch on guitar, John Arnold on vocals, Jackson Arnold drumming and Hayden Dargavel on bass. The band released a debut EP in 2014 and relocated to Melboure, after which Dargavel left the band. Scottie Simpson replaced him on bass and Lloyd Hornidge was added as a second guitarist but after another EP Hornidge also left and Simpson switched to guitar. John Arnold moved to bass and Aidan Ellaz joined Alpha Wolf as vocalist.

Alpha Wolf toured with bands like Polaris and signed to Greyscale Records for the release of their debut Mono which came out in July 2017. Mono reached #29 on the ARIA album chart and Alpha Wolf was set to open at Melbourne's Download festival in March 2018 as part of their national tour. Before the festival show and two dates out from the end of the tour, allegations of sexual assault were levelled at Ellas and he was instantly fired from the band, which then went on hiatus for almost a year. Alpha Wolf returned in June 2018 with former Earthender vocalist Lochie Keogh and new permanent drummer Mitch Fogarty.
