Band information

Melbourne black metal unit which began life as a Slayer cover band. In early 1999, Anarazel released Rise of the Tempest with Maakryth taking on bass duties as well as the vocals. The arrival of Valak (Coven, Abominator), Assasyn and Malleus allowed for live playing. They went on to record a full-length album entitled Undivine that was intended for release in 2001 but the recording was scrapped.

Asheron joined the band after it shed Assasyn and Malleus. The Undivine album was re-recorded in 2005 and late the following year Anarazel was added to the line-up of the final Metal for the Brain. Valak departed in 2007 and the band split. Valak, Morturus and Maakryth (now known as Defiler) reformed Anarazel in 2019, with Valak and Defiler as dual vocalists.
