Antonamasia is a Sydney band that formed in mid-2002. The band's style blends '''Shadows Fall'''-style metalcore with commercial Goth metal like '''Evanescence'''. While live work proved difficult at first due to Dallas' age, by late 2005 the band had become fairly well established and was picked up by Melbourne's Faultline Records, producing an EP that was released in mid-2006 and appearing at Metal for the Brain the same year.
