Band information
Asecretdeath formed on the Gold Coast in 2002. Their experimental style is a mixture of extremely heavy death metal riffs, screamo vocals and doomy, post-metal ambience, creating a somewhat unique sound. Their EP “Fear is the Driving Force” was released in 2005 and the band appeared at the Gold Coast Big Day Out in January 2006. After this the band clocked up supports with the likes of Clutch, Atreyu, Sick of It All, Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan and dozens more and toured nationally with bands like Evergreen Terrace and Parkway Drive. During 2008, Brisbane label Skull and Bones re-released the EP with an extra five songs.
Work began on a new full-length album in early 2008 and it was released the following year. After a long hiatus, Asecretdeath returned to action in 2012 after moving to Melbourne and during 2013 went on an extensive national tour with Japanese band Palm that was filmed for a documentary. A new album followed in 2015.
