Avantgard was a Perth black metal band that formed out of the ashes of [[Sacritual]]. After only two shows the group split up when Roddick and Middlebosch left; however the Spargos recorded a demo with Louis Rando of [[Pagan]] and [[The Furor]] on drums in 2001.
