The band signed to Dutch label Descent in 2008 with plans to release the debut as a digipak but long delays from the label caused this to fall through and Be'lakor severed ties with them. The second album was a breakthrough; Stone's Reach was voted Best Melodeath Release of 2009 on the European Metal Storm website.

The band supported Turisas nationally during 2010 before heading to Europe where they appeared at the Summer Breeze festival in Germany. Upon returning they went to work on a third album that was released in mid-2012. During 2014 Be'lakor toured nationally with Claim the Throne. 2015 was spent recording and touring internationally. Shaun Sykes and Jimmy Vander Broek were replaced for the tour by Matt Doods from Arbrynth and Elliot Sansom from Okera due to medical reasons; Sansom also laid down drums for the next album and in early 2016 he was announced as Vander Broeck's permanent replacement in the band. After Vessels was released Be'lakor did a short Australian tour and then appeared to go to ground. In the intervening time, songs were completed for their fifth album, which was releasd in October 2021. In August 2022 they did an Australian tour.
