Betrayer was a Melbourne thrash band that formed in 1984 as a four piece of Shane Ponsford, Ashley and Dale Robertson and Chris Hastings. In 1990 ex-Virgin Soldiers guitarist Geoff Marquis joined and the band recorded the demo Older Than God that won strong plaudits.
