Black Asylum is a thrash band from Wyong on the NSW Central Coast. The band formed in 2004 and began to develop a solid reputation right away. The band completed "Anthem of Order" during 2009 and in September opened for '''Cannibal Corpse''' in Sydney. In March 2010 the band won the MusicOz Award for Best Hardcore/Metal Act and opened for '''Hellyeah''' in July. After this the band stripped down to a four piece with the addition of Dawesy on guitar and Steve Lake on bass.
