Black Asylum was a thrash band from Wyong on the NSW Central Coast that formed in 2004. Releasing an EP at each end of 2006, the group featured at shows like [[Metalstock]] and completed an album in 2007 for release in 2008. In January 2008 Travis Klerk from [[Rather Be Dead]] replaced Chris Jones, who joined Sydney band [[Dred]]. Soon afterward, the band released their debut album.


Black Asylum is a thrash band from Wyong on the NSW Central Coast. The band released two EPs at each end of 2006 and appears to be a band with a future.
The band completed ''Anthem of Order'' during 2009 and in September opened for '''Cannibal Corpse''' in Sydney. In March 2010 the band won the MusicOz Award for Best Hardcore/Metal Act and opened for '''Hellyeah''' in July. After this the band stripped down to a four piece with the addition of Dawesy on guitar and Steve Lake on bass. In May 2011 the band announced it had split.
