Band information

Buried in Verona is a melodic metalcore band from Sydney that formed in 2006. Richie Newman joined on drums ahead of the release of their debut album on 23 August 2008 but announced his departure in September. Circle the Dead featured commercial metalcore in the style of Parkway Drive and the band was nominated for an Australian Metal Award for the artwork in 2009. Newman subsequently rejoined the band as a guitarist.

In early 2010 Buried in Verona recorded their second album in Sweden with Fredrik Nordström; Saturday Night Sever was released in June and the band followed it up by touring with Bermuda and Silent Screams. In September the band went out on tour and played a show with Soilwork in Sydney. During early 2011 Buried in Verona again hit the road, this time with Resist the Thought and opened for The Haunted in May.
