Band Information
Formed from the remnants of Devoid by Felton, Kruit and Simon Mitchell, Chaos Divine is a Perth band playing a catchy and well-constructed blend of modern metal stylings featuring alternating harsh/clean vocals, TOOL-like polyrhythmic drumming and solid guitar work. During 2006, the band completed work on its debut CD while playing supports with Fear Factory, Devil Driver and Dark Tranquillity. After the release of the CD, drummer Ben Mazzarol was replaced by Chris Mitchell. Late in the year, Ratio won second place in the annual Three Hours of Power listener's poll for Best Australian Metal Release.
Chaos Divine began 2007 with a support to Trivium, followed in April by a Perth show with Slayer and Mastodon.
