Band information

Cremator was a parody thrash metal band from Perth from the late 1980s, raw, fast and sometimes not all that together! Cremator formed in 1986 around Cook and Wilkerson; Hopkinson came from Melbourne hardcore band Vicious Circle. The band's mini-album is ultra-rare and heavily sought after, featuring a cover of Charlie Daniels' "Devil Went Down to Georgia" that has to be heard to be believed.

Kevin McCrear replaced Cook toward the end of 1988 and the band folded the next year. Hopkinson went on to Nursery Crimes and was briefly a member of Killing Time before joining You Am I in 1993. Cook was killed in a car accident in February 1989.
