A Melbourne power metal band in the ''Stratovarius'' mould, Crimsonfire was formed around Melichar, Tabone and Gorgievski in 1998. After a formative song-writing period, the band was joined by Yoannidis and one time [[Supremacy]] drummer Pinto. A three-track demo was recorded in mid-2000 and two years later work began on a full-length album. After signing to Majestic Rock Records, Crimsonfire's self-titled debut album was released in October 2005.
