Darker Half is a band from Sydney playing thrash metal with a dominant technical aspect. The band formed around Simpson, Max Griffiths (vocals, bass), Alderton (guitar) and Jim on drums. They quickly began playing live despite being all too young to appear in licensed venues and featured at the first [[Metalstock]] festival at Easter 2005. Hamilton and Martino joined the band toward the end of 2005 and the group recorded a four-track CD while continuing to make their presence felt on the live circuit on the east coast throughout 2006.
