From the myspace
Diatribe was a groove metal band from Adelaide that formed in 2002 with Benyk coming from [[Skintilla]]. Stylistically similar to mid-90s '''Sepultura''' at times, the band delivers solidly heavy material. Their self-titled EP from 2002 sold out of its initial pressing and was then reissued with a bonus multimedia disc included. Along with supports to several of the country's best known metal acts, in 2003 Diatribe opened for '''The Haunted''' in Adelaide. The "Product of Hate" CD emerged in 2006. Josh Smith was later in [[Maniacal (SA)|Maniacal]].

Australia’s Diatribe delivers an 'in your face' brand of 'aggressive verbal attacking metal, with live performances that have left audiences across the country feeling like their senses have been assaulted by a pounding sledgehammer. The band’s 2002 self titled debut EP release received an overwhelming media and industry response, from positive reviews in both national and international metal magazines and webzines to increasing radio airplay support, helping achieve top 10 positions on various music charts and radio listener’s polls.

The EP quickly sold out, demanding a second pressing with an added bonus Multimedia CD Rom feature being released. Their new full length album "A Product Of Hate" is fast attracting the same overwhelming industry and media response, adding to their ever growing fanbase and gaining even greater attention within the Australian and world metal community. Diatribe have appeared with such bands as The Haunted, Frankenbok, Daysend, Segression and on numerous Australian metal events including The Afterburn Festival, Metal Xmas, Metal Easter and Halloween Hellfest 05.
